Scarlet leads her group of adventurers to the area just outside the lair of the three-headed dragon referred to as the Guardian of Storms. She instructs the others not to interfere. The dragon arrives, and Scarlet tries to speak to it, though the dragon doesn't seem inclined to respond in a friendly fashion … even though Scarlet claims to be the dragon's mother. Scarlet is almost toasted by the dragon's breath weapons, but Roho rushes about, distracting the dragon. Kensington is knocked out during an attempt at swooping down and carrying Scarlet out of the way, so Roho drags the crow out of the battle zone, while Sludge provides another distraction.

Scarlet tries using her magic wand on the dragon, with unintended results. She uses the wand to make the Khatta mercenary "flee", when she thinks the Khatta might interfere … and then gets stomped by the dragon. Roho tries to resuscitate the flat Aelfin, but to no effect. Kensington struggles to figure out how to use the magic wand, and ends up using the key words of "Flesh" and "Fill" to transform Scarlet into a giant ball of Aelfin flesh … which then starts to roll downhill after Kensington pokes it. Kensington and Roho rush to stop the ball, fighting over the wand and eventually making the ball "float". As they look on in horror, the ball of Aelfin floats away on the winds…
