Roho is present as Scarlet rushes to get some breakfast, and Skiree tries to beg a popsicle off of her. Scarlet is too rushed, it seems, but Skiree gets a popsicle from another Water Mage, Snowstorm (whom Skiree refers to as "Snowflake"). While Roho and Snowstorm talk about things such as oddities about Scarlet's change things go awry over at the pool, and mages start panicking. Roho rushes about, and runs into Envoy.
An "ice elemental" rises from the pool, prompting the mages to flee. Envoy gets Wynona and another Air Mage, Gusty, to work on a ritual for a possible backup plan. Envoy rescues a mage that is dropped by the ice monster, and the mage provides Envoy with a magical effect that lets her find the person controlling this creature. Roho, meanwhile, does some tracking, and finds that Scarlet went into the pool, oddly enough, from her spot alongside the water. Envoy theorizes that she needs something magical to disrupt the power of the ice monster … and Roho produces a "magical popsicle" the magically created popsicle that Skiree got earlier.
While Roho delivers the popsicle to Envoy at great personal peril, Envoy then uses her unique voice (boosted by the magical effects provided by Wynona and the other Air Mages) to shatter some of the ice protecting the monster, and then she shoves the popsicle inside. The ice golem breaks apart Envoy being right underneath it.
Roho fishes Envoy out of the remnants of the pool, and she recovers. Roho heads off to check on Wynona and Gusty, while Envoy wades into the pool and retrieves the unconscious Scarlet. Although the ritual is quite disrupted, it looks like Envoy and Roho have saved the day!
