Elise visits the Mages' Guild Hall of Babel on an errand, disguised as "Missy", a Gallah mercenary. She meets the very eccentric Chaos Mage Flutenote, and runs into Cyprian, though she's careful not to completely blow her cover. Nonetheless, she manages to talk Cyprian into enacting a ritual of the Sphere of Mind, so that they may privately converse about matters concerning the Dream Realm.
