The Sabaoth appears to be in much better health, and throws a banquet, with many attendees, including Roho the fennec healer, and a golden vixen named Maza, who acts as his "assistant". The Sabaoth publicly thanks Roho, and announces that instead of the reward of 100 gold coins, a reward of 200 gold coins will be granted to Roho instead. Roho is asked to bring forth a cup of his healing elixir, but the fennec senses something tainting the drink, and warns the Sabaoth, prompting the latter's anger as he orders the entire kitchen staff to be apprehended and tortured. Sabaoth also chooses this time to announce the induction of the beautiful Saraizadze into his harem, an announcement which prompts a drunken Boghaz to make another scene. Roho puts his neck on the line, offering to forego his reward in asking the Sabaoth to grant Saraizadze to Boghaz instead, but the Sabaoth is not receptive of Roho's sacrifice. When Sarai denies loving Boghaz, the Sabaoth orders the prince to be taken into custody … and at some prompting by Thath, orders both Boghaz and Roho to be put on a ship headed out of the city, banished forever. Later, Maza catches up with Roho as he is boarding an airship headed for Rephidim … and there are a few surprises in store on board
