Chiaroscuro, Envoy, Naomi, Mircus, and Pawtuxet are woken up and told that Little Rephidim West is very near. Naomi goes to wake up Roho while the others head abovedecks, and Sendrick grrets them (After a fashion.) Chiaroscuro and Envoy, along with crewmen, help secure the ship and then explore along the dock. Mircus and a Topper, a savanite, join them while the rest head off to breakfast. When the doors to the paquebot are finally opened, massive amounts of noxious green gas spill out… incapacitating Topper, and later Mircus as he ventures inside. Both recover due to rescuing by the others, and Roho's medical skill, but the questers have to wait for masks before they will enter again.
