The Princess of Stygia makes a stop at Nalalua, where the passengers are entertained by the feline Gigis that inhabit this paradise. Alptraum and Autumn-Storm explore a temple ruin that Autumn-Storm supposes was once devoted to Nala, goddess of the Gigis. Alptraum confesses to Autumn-Storm that he's jealous, seeing her around a muscular Gigi (Marvo) who's obviously been vying for her attentions – but Autumn-Storm suggests that she would prefer to keep Alptraum as a friend.

Later, Alptraum spots another Yodhsunala, Sutrana, on the island, and approaches her. Once she learns that Nekara is aboard the Princess of Stygia, she flies for it, giving no indication of wanting Alptraum to tag along, but he does so anyway. Alptraum quickly decides that Sutrana doesn't care for him very much.
