At Blackshire Keep, Duchess Eve Kurai sees to preparations for a feast for the villagers, for the new Savanite immigrants, and several invited guests. Among those invited are the Exile Envoy of Lothrhyn, and Cadet Elise Bellefeuille. During the dinner, Czar Justinian offers Jynx the title of Count of Blackshire, for all he's done for Sylvania. A Gallisian emissary, Master Menteur, offers Jynx a chance to be declared the Marquis of Blackshire, if he will join the Gallisian side. Jynx angers the Gallisian by accepting the Czar's offer instead.
