Fenter is in the Bazaar, casting a spell. Envoy is walking through the Bazaar, playing with her own mind. Roho is trying to get some supplies for his clinic. Nearby, a xocholatl vendor cries out for help, as a swarm of vermites steal his precious confections. Our heroes pursue a trail of clues, Fenter along the way explaining to Envoy that she can be his sidekick, but that Roho will have to just be an audience, since a real hero isn't allowed more than one sidekick.
Fenter manages to get a bowl stuck to his head, which Roho and Envoy extract. Then, Envoy and Fenter go inside the old clock tower, avoiding several death traps along the way, and eventually finding Wyckyd's secret hideout. There, Fenter falls into a deathtrap, in danger of being drowned in hot xocholatl (or at least having his feet covered), but he gnaws his way through the xocholatl chains that hold him.
Wyckyd's plan is to use xocholatl statues of Brishen made by a stolen mold from Abu Dhabi and send them off as "gifts" to various heads of state, filled with trained vermites that will feed off of the xocholatl from the inside, then burst out at a given time, to take over the world! Envoy and Fenter destroy Wyckyd's statues and his mold in a desperate attempt to thwart his plans. Then, Fenter uses his magic to defeat the vermite-powered xocholatl golem Xocholax that Wyckyd sends to finish off the heroes. Envoy and Fenter escape, having saved the world yet again! Hurrah!
