Elise is paid a visit by her sister, Katherine, on board the Sweet Destiny, as it limps to the Stygian Paquebot. Elise relates to Katherine her various adventures, and laments her torture (and killing) of the Eeee who had kidnapped Katherine. Katherine, however, defends Elise's actions, thinking she should not be so hard on herself. Elise discusses various things, including the matter that she has been considering marriage – perhaps to Lord Pink, or else to Lord Dunbarre. Katherine is very enthusiastic about this revelation.
