Roho sets out to explore the jungle some more, seeking out an encampment that the bat scouts spotted during the (brief) period of calm that allowed (relatively) safe flying for a time. This time, a bat named Markov goes along with him. Roho splits up from Markov, since the latter isn't quite so stealthy, but some of the "natives" find and capture the bat. Roho ventures further into the encampment, freeing two prisoners – one being Markov, and the other being a winged prisoner who provides a distraction (and a means of escape for Roho).
