Zoltan and Roho venture into the airship graveyard, and recover some of the stolen crystals used by the machine in the Tower. However, they awaken a monster hidden within an idol of clay, and must take flight … losing the monster when Zoltan zips under one of the bridges connecting the airship wrecks together, and the dimwitted thing fails to be able to squeeze through as well. Back at the Freedom's Dream, Zoltan gives the gems to Kryago, so that the latter can re-stabilize the island, but as the vanes extend and "singing" begins to drive everyone berserk, it's evident that something went terribly wrong. Zoltan flies in to investigate, and fights to stabilize the machine and then to put things right by putting on the golden helmet again and issuing instructions to the machine.
