Zoltan, in his cabin, has a disturbing dream about Shokar's Silver Bell, and of Jezebel. When he awakens, he is alone with Jezebel, and signs with her about certain recent (and not-so-recent) events, until they are interrupted by Roho. Zoltan speaks with Roho, learning that Wynona is robbed of her magic – just as Jezebel is, as she has revealed to Zoltan. Zoltan reasons, despite his hatred of magic, that their chances of escaping the island are slim without the aid of the air mage, and decides to seek out this strange "orb" in order to try to find some way of reversing the effect. Roho goes along, in order to lend his keen senses – and satisfy his own curiosity about the island, though he has his doubts about whether this may be Paradys
