With pressing matters to attend to, Umeko, Lilac, Anisa, Xander and Gibson depart from Nagai City with the Emperor's blessing, heading for Blitzheim where they hope to begin their journey west. The trip is uneventful, and after a few days they arrive amidst the eternal cloudy gloom of northern Nordika. Wasting no time, the train station is located and tickets procured, although it seems the heroes will need to wait. Deciding to spend their time productively, they attend a museum and meet none other than the sister of Lord Hagan Vandringar himself: Cordelia. Pretending to be a noble and her entourage, Umeko and her friends spy on the happenings and speak with Cordelia to glean what little they can for her. Lilac, ill suited to high society, spends most of her time eating and sneaking about. After gathering together on departure, the heroes all agree what they have learned confirms one thing: Lord Vandringar is trying to locate Castle Pieksvaldt.
