Waking up early, Tasha observes Layth doing his morning exercises, and is impressed by the strength he displays. The Lapi explains a bit about his training at the Harem Club and at the Gloved Fist fighting arena, and offers to show it to Tasha.
The pair go to Dream Street and enter the partly underground arena, where the owner, Kiram Al-Zakari, makes a big fuss over Layth's "return" and asks if he's going to compete. The buck declines, saying that his arena days are over he was only in it for the training. Tasha likes the looks of the tiger fighters (or "beef" as she calls them) and catches the eye of one named Shimar who has a particular fantasy about 'demons' of her type. Tasha agrees to fight him the loser having to serve the winner for a week.
That fight is relatively short. Shimar is strong, but not very subtle. He gets a few hits in, before Tasha uses a flying kick to knock him senseless and then proceeds to pummel him unconscious.
While Layth escorts her from the arena, one of the tigers from the audience hops down and ridicules him, since Kiram has always talked 'Golden-Mane' up. He makes the mistake of insulted Layth's former master, Zafir, however, and the buck accepts the fight in order to satisfy honor.
This tiger is smarter than Shimar, and gets in quite a few attacks, but when Layth starts to counter him he resorts to cheating by using his claws. Layth is able to knock him out with a combination attack that hits the tiger from all sides.
