Elise finds herself in the dream reality of Inala's Carnival again, and goes to the Mystic's tent to join him for tea. Elise does not partake of any tea herself, preferring to be cautious in such strange circumstances, and she asks the Mystic about his role in all of this. The Mystic goes through many conflicting emotions, looking as if he's engaging in some sort of struggle, and at one point has a sudden outburst that prompts Elise to try to slap him across the face. When he recovers, he indicates to Elise that not all is quite as it seems here, and that Elise may find more answers when she progresses to "Paradise", some other part of this Carnival. Toward that end, he gives her a Ticket, for the formality of three coins, declaring that while Elise may not consider herself a "winner", he certainly feels the loser in this "battle of wits" they have just undertaken.
