After an accident in the Bazaar, Kira brings Francisco to Chiri's tent in darkside, to make sure he wasn't badly wounded from a sign that fell on his head. The rat is in the process of labelling jars, with the help of her Savanite X, and examines the Kitsune. A Naga garter interupts the procedure, and speaks to the Skreek outside. Returning, Chiri discovers that Francisco is very badly wounded indeed, an artery in his head is threatening to pop at any moment like a ripe kyootcumber. She offers the Kitsune a choice between two treatments, a painful lancing, or a jar of pills that will last a week, and may have some side effects. Francisco opts for the pills, everyone approving of his choice; Kira then treats everyone to dinner.
