Rory is in a class taught by the Sphere of Life Cervani mage, Latania Windriver, and is the target of a prank by an Apprentice of Air Jupani named Vester (and his buddies). Latania sends Rory off to Counselor Heth's office for a reprimand. The Counselor ponders the situation, and decides to send Rory on an errand, directing Rory to a study while he prepares a list of ingredients to fetch. While in the study, Rory finds Silhouette playing with a little vermite who just says "Squeak." (But then, vermites don't generally say more than that.
