Looking to cheer herself up a bit, Envoy decides to seek out some amber at the Shiny Shoppe. While getting a suitable piece from Nicodemus, she runs into Zoltan and his new family. Also interested in his family is Seargant Sapphire of the Temple Scouts, who comes by to pitch the value of a Temple education for Enos and Pouncer to Zoltan, who is less than thrilled by the offer. Later, while talking with Envoy and Roho, Zoltan is called by Jezebel, who tells him that Necropolis just spoke to her through Pouncer. When Zoltan returns to his guests, and mentions the incident to Roho, Envoy tells them about her dream-vision of the Khatta that moved like Pouncer, and asks if there's a relationship. When Zoltan says he can't tell her anything about it because of an oath, Envoy gets angry and storms out of the Shoppe
