Elise acquires a couple of drokar mounts, meets with the mayor, requests some information on nearby mines (in case Abrecan Ordway may have fled to them), and then sets out to visit a former employer of Nadia. On the way, she observes the Kadie that stole her purse getting Himaatian-style justice, delivered with an axe. Once they reach the house of Mr. Shaay, Elise's cutting-to-the-chase in asking the former employer if he knows anything of the fugitives is rewarded by his obvious displeasure and indication that he knows nothing of any use to the Executors. With that, Elise leaves.
