Scarlet returns to consciousness, observing the carrying out of the punishment of one of the pirate Eeee that she sentenced to be fed (alive) to a horrib. Her senses have some trouble adjusting, but she soon figures out that something is amiss. There is a lady Eeee who is dressed up like Scarlet would be – as a Water Mage – and is being addressed as Scarlet. Scarlet herself, meanwhile, appears to be in the body of a fuff'nar, inside a cage! Despite Scarlet's attempts, she cannot use magic, and her cage is taken away – to some unknown fate.
