After a successful visit to Caroban, High Ambassador Dunbarre is at a banquet held in honor of him and his delegation on the day before he leaves to go back to Rephidim. A Gallah servant girl by the name of Missy attends him, and Dean Fyiara discusses the nature of statistical probability and how Chaos Magic works with it.

Afterward, the ambassador and Fyiara catch up with "Missy", having figured out the truth – It isn't really a Gallah named Missy, but rather Elise in disguise. Although they were able to figure out who she was, they are fairly impressed, and certain that it will be quite sufficient for her mission to Ashdod.
