Elise, walking across Caroban in the rain, notices an out-of-place mage in the rain. She comes closer and sees that it's Dean Fyiara. Dean Fyiara is soaked all over … all over, that is, except for a single spot on one finger, as she's used a spell to modify probability so that no rain drops fall on that one finger tip. Fyiara and Elise then discuss matters of probability, Chaos Magic, and "strange attractors", as well as an impending mission to Babel to try to deal with those responsible for the Dream Realm rituals.
