Kensington broods over some watered-down ale in an inn in Aelfhem, when Zoltan joins him. They go outside to talk, and Kensington tells Zoltan about the "Wand of 'F'" that he is carrying around, and the troubles he fears it may bring. Zoltan introduces Kensington to Priest-Queen Third-Vision, and Seer Solitary-Light. The seer enacts a ritual that reveals the story of the "Wand of 'F'". Kensington opts to destroy the wand … but only after trying to use it to undo some of the damage to the sugarfir forest and the Sacred Orchard.

Kensington then flies over the trail that had been cut through the trees by Scarlet's "rampage" as a giant ball of fluff rolling through the woods. He fills the gap by using the word 'fir'. He uses 'flourish' on the Sacred Orchard. The result is that the Sacred Orchard bursts with life, as the sugarfirs regrow … but so do all the weeds and such, meaning that the monks will have a bit of gardening to do. As for the 'firs', they seem to be trees all right … but with 'fur' on them, by a weird twist.

Kensington visits the monastery, and finds the monks to be rather happy about the 'miracle' that happened in the orchard. He gets the innkeeper to help as a translator, and secures some sugarfir seeds to use in another project. He then flies over the crater created by the death of Ashtoreth the three-headed dragon. Over the crater itself, he uses the word 'flower', filling it with red, blue and purple flowers. In the burnt-out area around it, he scatters seeds, and uses the word 'fertile'. Nothing pops up immediately, but the earth seems to be very rich … and fertile. Kensington, satisfied with this, uses his swords to destroy the wand. However, it seems that his swords are affected by this, as they make an audible "shing" and flash when held to catch the light just right. Also, Kensington discovers a baby three-headed dragon amongst the flowers.

Kensington, back at the clearing, meets up with Zoltan and Roho, and shows them the baby dragon. They all go to the dragon lair, where Kensington carefully sneaks in. It's a very tense moment, as he gets stared down by the mother dragon after he accidentally steps on a piece of eggshell … but when the mother dragon sees the baby he brought back, all three heads are soon distracted, and Kensington slips out. Now there are four baby dragons being tended in the lair.
