Zoltan finds his son, Enos, in the designated "Play Area" in the expanded Shiny Shoppe, arranging polished glass pieces into a roughly circular shape … bolstering Zoltan's assessment of his son as a budding young artist. He takes the cub out to one of the "alley" gardens, where Moon-Brow (aka "Star") is teaching Pouncer (Zoltan's daughter) the ways of gardening.

Moon-Brow shares with Zoltan some news about the goings-on in the City of Hands – about the political troubles with the Twelve-times-Twelve, and the capture (then disappearance) of Priest-Queen Third-Vision's sister, Long-Lope (aka "Zorah").

Feli "Jynx" Kurai pays a visit, sharing a bit of news of his own – namely, that he has come across a sizeable inheritance, and is heading out to Sylvania to check out his new castle. Born-in-Shame, the Abaddonian "Silent One" cheetah, asks for – and is granted – permission to accompany Jynx on this new quest … so that he can see the world, and maybe earn himself a new name.
