In the amusement park in Inala's realm, Elise is approached by some guards who expel her from the park for going into the Hall of Mirrors without a ticket (not, per se, for bludgeoning the barker). Envoy is present, and accompanies Elise, though she herself is not expelled from the park.
They return to the crossroads, and, during a moment where Envoy vanishes momentarily, Elise chooses the path of Blakat, Goddess of Rage. Envoy returns and protests the choice, seeing herself as anything but a warrior, but accompanies Elise nonetheless, if for no other reason than to help keep Elise out of trouble.
The warrioress and mage encounter a wall with a door in it, with a bat "gatekeeper" sitting on top. They chase the bat around, trying to get the key from him, and finally succeed. When the door is opened, it reveals a roofed area on the other side, whereas previously they had thought they could simply fly over the wall to get past. Envoy ends up in her Dragon aspect, however, in order to deal with the bat, and seems a bit miffed at Envoy's attempts to get the gatekeeper to laugh at Envoy's expense in a ruse to get him to drop the key.
