The Freedom's Dream reaches the jungles of the Savan, and encounters a patrol vessel maintaining the quarantine of the City of Hands. Envoy manages to secure passage by impersonating Inquisitor Melchizedek. The ship then moves on to unload several passengers near an abandoned village, and Envoy, Zoltan, Janus, Kaela, Azhtar and Roho go in to investigate … interrupted by the appearance of a large group of locals. During the confrontation, Janus wounds a shamaness and flees, while the others attempt to aid her. The shamaness recognizes Kaela as Emerald-Eyes and reveals herself to be Storm-Hand … also known as "Sister #5", for anyone who's having trouble keeping track. At last, the warriors return, and are persuaded not to attack, but rather take the group (sans Janus) to their village in the jungle, warned of the imminent return of Third-Eye
