Kaela visits the Freedom's Dream, finding Envoy and Roho there, and convincing them to come to see her ailing mother. Roho's diagnosis offers not much hope, but he nonetheless prescribes some herbs which may at least ease the pain and aid her breathing. Jezebel intrudes at one point, but at last leaves, and after Roho departs, Envoy confers with Kaela over her options – none of which offer any easy solutions, but plenty of risks
