In the Bazaar, Jynx's luck follows its usual course, prompting a disaster that introduces him to Fenter … and draws the attention of Blossom (the fanatical Knight Templar who is bent on Jynx's 'disposal') and a gypsy crow. Fenter and Jynx flee, dashing into Darkside … and becoming lost in the Cemetary of the Old City. There, they encounter a blind-folded Skreek … and the once-highly-regarded (but now quite mad) Savanite painter, Kame Ikata. They receive an unusual demonstration of his talents, and follow him and his "accomplice" to the Moz Ezley Home for the Disturbed in Spirit. While trying to figure out how to get out of Darkside, Wyckyd makes an appearance, and arranges for transportation in (how else?) an inconventional manner that involves vermites. He also gets Fenter to pledge to aid him by finding a gift suitable for a lady Eeee. Back in a safer part of Rephidim, Jynx's primary concern, though, is getting a bath
