Alptraum is paid a visit by Yodhsunala Mariamara, who had cared for the Srinala that was Alptraum's mother – and, in turn, she cared for Alptraum as an infant as well. Alptraum asks Mariamara some questions about his birth and the events surrounding it, but when he relates the events of the day previous, Mariamara grows nervous, and brings the visit to a close. After that, Alptraum runs a few other errands.
