The crossbowman that fired at Elise while having her cornered in the privy fails to hit his mark, and she wounds him, forcing him to flee. She then calls out to the man holding Katherine hostage to surrender. A timely lurch of the ship causes the kidnapper to fall to one side, whereupon Elise runs him through with her sword. Elise oversees the securing of the Siren's Tail, then has to make tough decisions about where to take it in order to get medical attention quickly for the wounded. She then has a tearful reunion with her sister.
