At Blackshire Keep, the foppish fox is catching fish, while Scarlet goes out to summon her three-headed dragon. She has chosen to name each head after a different planet – The fire head is Abaddon, the ice head is Ashtoreth, and the middle head is Logos (since it seems to be the smartest). The foppish fox, however, misunderstands, thinking that the whole dragon is named Ashtoreth, and he refers to each one of the heads with a different part of that name.

Scarlet takes the fox along, and they head to the village to get supplies … and to introduce the Aelfin's dragon to the villagers. The villagers are, quite understandably, afraid of the creature, but the Aelfin does a decent job of showing that it poses no threat. She gets supplies, and learns that Jynx has a possible visitor – one Count Vlad, a human staying at the Blackshire Inn.
