After the meeting at the Guild Hall of Babel, Illusionist Kirs indicates that he'll help out with the party to be held on Mount Dronnel. Rory sees Chaos Mage Flutenote, and seeks her out to see if perhaps she could offer a blessing to help avoid any trouble at the party – and in the process, he learns a little more about her origins in a place known as the Southron Marches and the Golden Realm. As he heads out, Apprentice Josh tracks down Rory and informs him that many of the strange reactions amongst the mages were due to the fact that most of the Guild Hall knows the true identity of "the Avenger" even if the general public has reasons to disbelieve it: Mage Cyprian is the "Avenger." Rory is confused why Mage Cyprian would be ashamed of this, and therefore seeks out the Mind mage, and finds out his reasons.
