Jezebel visits Storm-Hand's village, where Roho and Zoltan await, and she meets with Storm-Hand. After the meeting, Jezebel speaks with Zoltan … offering him some help in his quest for Paradys. Then, something odd happens. A black cat comes falling out of the sky. Zoltan rescues the cat … only to have the hapless Khatta seized as a "Devil-Khatta", trussed up to a pole, and put on top of a smouldering bonfire. About this time, Janus is brought in, and now they have TWO "Devil-Khatta" on the bonfire, with Jezebel thrown in for good measure. Zoltan tries to stop all of this, but has to resort to knocking down the poles, freeing Janus, then flying off with the unconscious Jezebel and Jynx.
