Qing and some merchants from the Bazaar visit the Shiny Shoppe, hoping to hire Zoltan Cambio as a "spirit hunter" to track down and destroy the Kitsune spirit, Amaranth. Zoltan refuses to accept pay, lest he become a mercenary, but is willing to help fight this creature, since he believes this may have a connection to his enemy, Necropolis. As Qing and the merchants tell more about the fate of Francisco, Zoltan becomes more convinced that this is the work of Necropolis … and Qing comes to believe that Amaranth may have left Francisco's body to possess the body of a vixen – Rache – whose family was brutally murdered.
