Envoy is visiting Kurai's Imported Ceramic and Crystal Store, when a Savanite shows up, delivering a curious parchment to Jynx's father, Dominic. Dominic thinks it a joke when he learns he is invited – with his family – to the coronation of the new Priest-King in the Savan. Envoy desperately wants to see the parchment, and offers not to report this to the Inquisition if she's allowed … an action which Dominic takes as a threat, angering the Khatta merchant. Envoy leaves, and Jynx tries to convince his family that this is for real.
