Arkold leads a group of Legionnaires on seaskippers to an outpost that radio contact has been lost with, on the planet of Ashtoreth. When he gets there, he discovers that some Sirens are attacking the outpost, and that large green food creatures known as "planktoids" are escaping. The Legionnaires take up a defensive position … but the Sirens flee. Arkold takes the loss of the planktoids in stride, deciding that it was about time he had a little vacation anyway … and he enjoys his time waiting on the beach.
