Turtle and Melchizedek, accompanied by the "demon knights" of Lord Nosh'ma, pass through the land of Bosch, having an unpleasant encounter in what at first appears to be a perfectly normal village … though all the more abnormal for how it clashes with its surroundings. Past that incident, Turtle discovers that Melchizedek is missing, and is taunted by the warriors. They goad her into wishing at a wishing well, expecting her to wish for Melchizedek back … but she sees this as a test of her own faith. As the warped warriors flee the result, Turtle is left alone to journey on toward Nosh'ma's citadel … which presumably is briefly revealed in the aftermath
