Alptraum returns to the royal suite after having her first (of possibly several), ovulations in her newly re-gendered and disguised body. There she meets a guard named Dar, a handsome and sturdy-looking black vampire Eeee. This, alas, triggers some interesting reactions in the bat which she tries to ignore; mainly odd tingly feelings of attraction.

Alptraum convinces the guard of her identity as the disguised consort of the Countess and Dar lets her pass. As she enters, she remembers she needs the imprint of a black Eee to disguise her own disfigured right hand, and asks Dar to join her. He refuses, saying he is on duty, but he can assist later.

So … in Alptraum goes, to present the disguised body to Snow and Phlagaea. The two women are surprised … and Snow even tests Alptraum using her lure magic. The reaction is … different. Her mutated tail goes wild while her mind and focus blurs some, but not as completely as it used to. Once that is fought off, the two girls are fascinated by the new body, in particular the tail.

They chat about many things and Alptraum explains she's to ken the guard. Before she does so, though, Phlagaea teaches her a prayer to offer to Gorphat, one that disturbingly sounds like she wants to be miserable during her time of menarche, not that she wants it to be painless. Still, Alptraum manages to say the words … then says she must go ken the guard. She also makes them promise not to laugh if she acts funny while doing so. It goes fairly well, all things considered … though Snow did have to calm Dar down afterward. She then drinks a bit of his blood to sate her hunger

Alptraum ends up feeling okay, if a bit strange. A bit more chatter ensues, and Alptraum promises to bring Phlagaea all kinds of odd foods from town. Pregnancy is well in effect for Phlagaea, it seems…
