Within the valley of the Sacred Mountain, it appears that the Vykarin warriors have decided that Fenter is a deity. Perhaps this decision is made, in part, due to the fact that Fenter's eyes are still cycling through the colors of the rainbow for no explained reason. The Vykarins display a great interest in watching Bassai consume his food, and then accompany Bassai and Fenter as they journey to the clover patch in the center of the valley, where Fenter dreamt of "Uncle Agnes". They rest on the clover and fall asleep, each receiving a vision of a pattern resembling the "Eye of Kame Ikata" (or, "Uncle Agnes", to Fenter), but it is halted by a sensation of pain and burning. They awaken, finding a ring of fire closing in on them – and a hint of someone moving about, silhouetted by the flames. They escape by diving into one of the water channels in the center of the valley … and are sucked into an undercurrent, then through an underground watery tunnel, and deposited into an unnatural cavern. They search around, and come to another room with glowing "crystal veins" much like the Sifras site
