Buran visits Aski Medes, the aged scholar, and relates to him as much as she can about the strange things that have been happening to her … and the dreams that suggest that she is an "avatar" of a "life goddess". Aski Medes is able to offer little in the way of answers, but suggests that Buran visit Jennendra, a "witch" who lives in Half Valley, and who might be able to shed more light on the subject.
