Envoy begins exploring various corridors and rooms, and learns a bit about the base's past from events reenacted by spirit imprints – including an event that makes her realize the base was used for bio-weapons research!

After encountering ghosts and making a map, she uncovers the final message of one of the scientists, Dr. Erin Daedalus, about the experiments and how she hid the final one, Subject Thirteen, by faking a failure report and stashing it somewhere hidden.

Envoy encounters bad plumbing, a killer robot, and the ghost of Subject Twelve again before gleaning some information from a computer and finding the hidden cave with the suspended Thirteen in it.
