Zahn, Gunther and Amelia head for the hot springs bathing areas to clean off the dirt from the excavation of Olivia's basement. Gunther goes to the common pool and plays around in the water, despite Amelia threatening to come wash him herself if he doesn't take care of it. She and Zahn use the smaller men's pool, since it appears to be empty.

Zahn starts washing Amy, and asking about how to deal with having a Lapi room-guest, when a series of bubbles under them precedes the appearance of Silas Oggton, who was apparently lurking under the water the whole time. Their is a bit of chatting, proclamations of innocence and discussion of Gunther becoming an Otter Scout and the possibilities of inflatable basements for the Akwavi barges.

There's also a bit of good-natured teasing about Silas being 'an old man' as well.
