After gathering their equipment and returning to Olivia's 'basement', the group decides to head west first since Amelia suspects flooding to the east (since the other underground ruins are flooded in that direction).

The tunnel is in poorer shape than the ones under the castle, and they eventually come to another alcove with an access ladder to the surface. There they find the remains of a slightly burned box and some fabric threads.

Up top, Zahn finds a hatch that's made to look part of a boulder on the outside, and the area it opens too is the same one Olivia played in as a child. This leads to speculation about her childhood troll friend.

Heading west for another hour, they eventually surface and look for the main road to avoid using up all of their lamp oil (and to let their feet dry out). Once on the road, they had back for Stonebarrow.
