A comment made by Ravenia in the Godsmith's shop has been niggling at Arkold: a hint that the dark human woman may be interested in partnering with him in a more intimate way. Arkold decides to act on it, just in case.

While Agatha takes Ravenia into a clothing store, Arkold goes to the nearby chocolate shop and tobacconist to get some gifts for Raven. These include flavored cigars and rum-filled candies, along with a chocolate-flavored negligee made from the odd 'fairy lace' that floats down the Pantsu River.

After giving Agatha some drinking money (and learning she's decided to share the room with him and Ravenia tonight), Arkold takes Raven to get some shoes made.
