Baddock is visited by a Cervani "advisor", and told about the charges against him. He then is taken before an Aelfin "court", where the seven charges are presented, and Baddock is given a chance to explain himself. In the end, Baddock yells and screams at the Aelfin, and they sentence him to forced labor.
