As the Sunchaser departs from Rephidim, Envoy is greeted by a Vartan by the name of Elijah, and his companion, a Savanite named Watches-Quietly. They meet in the lounge area, where they discuss philosophical issues over juice. Envoy is able to get out of Elijah that he is actually a Lancer, but when she tries to pry further, he indicates that he is unable to answer her questions, lest he bring shame on his Order – as he is on a quest to "find himself", and that very fact would be a humiliation for the Knights.
