Anisa, at the urging of her mother, dresses up in business-like fashion, and visits a store known as the Secret Garden, in order to find out about something called the "Women's Entrepreneurial League." The girl behind the counter there talks Anisa into watching the store while she "goes out for a smoke," and a customer comes in who's a little difficult to help, due to her (apparently) bad hearing. However, Anisa does her best to be helpful, and the customer at last reveals that she's actually Hermoine du Lac – owner of the store, and a member of the Women's Entrepreneurial League, and this was her way of seeing if Anisa is a nice young lady who would make a nice young lady entrepreneur. Anisa passes the test.

Back at home, Anisa has dinner with her family, and learns that Aaron was spotted with a black eye. She is worried, and heads out to take some soup to Aaron and check on him. He finds out that it was all a mishap in that he was so distracted, he forgot that he had moved out of the shop, and started to head up to his old bedroom – which is now the bedroom of the Savanite couple residing above the shop. The husband, surprised, punched the "stranger" coming up the ladder, and now Aaron has a poultice over his eye.
