On board the Savan Queen, Envoy and Zoltan are on deck when a pirate ship attacks the vessel. Or is that really what is going on? During the ensuing confusion, Zoltan makes a daring rescue, and things just keep getting weirder – much to the Vartan's consternation. At the end, Inquisitrix Esther, appointed Temple representative for this expedition, comes up and has a confrontation with Envoy … which prompts some revelations that could have unforeseen repercussions
