Emerging from the dark waters, Lilac and Dragonfly's corpse find themselves face to face with the secret of the Temple of Being. The Temple addresses Lilac, speaking of the past and of pacts, of flesh and of being. Although she doesn't quite understand all that the Temple means, nor what it is, Lilac does understand its offer: a pact, in exchange for Dragonfly's life. And so, Lilac made her decision. Dragonfly lives again – but at what price?
