Mircus travels to the Himaat, where he enters the Gateway Tower and journeys to the world of Morpheus. There, he adjusts to his bizarre surroundings and heads out to explore … only to be caught in a cage! A small fluttering "bat-bug" flies up to investigate, speaking with the voice of Morpheus – the "cat-bat" being that appeared in the dream that Mircus and Envoy shared together at the tent of Mystico the Marvelous.

The bat-bug makes sure that Mircus isn't carrying any magical weapons, and queries the young raccoon about why he's trying to map this world. He leads him to the crashed Silent Ones vessel, where Envoy is "located", in a manner of speaking.
